This marks a huge historical moment for Romania’s streetwear scene: PORC X GHICA POPA are launching a travel-inspired capsule collection! ????????????
PORC, most popular Romanian streetwear brand, teamed up with artist Ghica Popa for a travelling gear collaboration – the first capsule collection of many to come.
Ghica Popa’s a Bucharest-based graphic artist and illustrator. His themes are mostly industrial, a surreal mix of robots, cars, strange buildings and spaceships, all influenced by his passions. Ghica’s fascinating characters, vehicles and patterns are full of life, combined in a personal manner.
With a background of years of experience working in advertising, as an art director, and studies in arts (he graduated the Primary School of Arts, the Arts High School, and the University of Arts), Ghica developed a remarkable, distinctive style that caught the attention of fashion brands and advertisers all across the globe.
This led to collaborations with top local and international brands such as Nike, DC Shoes, Less Taiwan, Overkill x adidas, G-Shock, and many others.
His work transcended the borders and reached an international dimension, and his collaborations can now be found in all corners of the world, from Japan and England to the USA, UK, or Taiwan.
He has been featured by Hypebeast, Complex Magazine, High Snobiety, Sneaker Freaker, and many others.

The PORC X GHICA POPA launch will be celebrated this Sunday, June 10th, 2018, at The Urbanist – one of the coolest places in Bucharest’s old town, starting 4 PM. Facebook event here.
